The New York Rangers are without Adam Fox, as he was recently placed on IR today. The team expects him to be back before the end of the season and has had to call up Matthew Robertson from Hartford.

The New York Rangers will be without a key piece in the lineup thanks to an upper-body injury.
Without Adam Fox in the lineup, the blue line in New York is a little less deep as they call up defenseman Matthew Robertson from the AHL.
This is the sixth time Robertson has been called up by the Rangers in the past two
years.
With good reason too, since Victor Mancini is gone, it appears that Robertson has earned a look in the NHL.
This season in Hartford he's played 47 games for the Wolfpack and scored 18 points (1 G, 17 A)
With Fox gone, Robertson will have a chance to see if he will be a fit in the Rangers future.
As of right now, the team is loaded with new talent down the blueline in Will Borgen, and Urho Vaakanainen.
Robertson was drafted 49th overall in the 2nd round of the 2019 NHL Draft. He's played his entire professional career with the Hartford Wolfpack, since 2021-2022.
Coincidentally, his best season with the Wolfpack saw him score 23 points (5 G, 18 A) in 57 games with the Wolfpack.
Now, with Fox out he'll have a chance to prove himself in the NHL once more, and maybe flash his skills to other teams should the Rangers use him as a trade-chip in the future.
Since prospects don't really get much of a shot here in New York.
