An extremely scary moment surfaces during the New York Rangers Va Pittsburgh Penguins game on Saturday night as veteran defenseman collides head first into the boards.

During the second period of the Rangers and Penguins game, veteran defenseman Carson Soucy got tied up with Penguins forward Rickard Rakell and collided head first into the boards.
Soucy stayed down for minute while being examined by the team's trainer before getting up and skating off the ice on his own.
#NYR Carson Soucy just crashed into the boards awkwardly while going in for a hit and he's down on one knee on the ice talking to a trainer...He skates off on his own power to the locker room.
Very scary as Soucy goes head first into the boards, he looks like he went out there for a second. #NYR
Certainly a very scary moment for the New York Rangers and the 31-year old defenseman, However the good news is that he was able to get back onto his own feet and head to the locker room.
But with that being said Carson Soucy could be held out for the remainder of the game due to concussion protocol, something the Rangers can't afford as they are already dealing with several other injuries early in the season.
The most recent being Vincent Trocheck who is considered week-to-week now after sustaining an upper-body injury during Thursday nights game against the Buffalo Sabres.
