Troubling news strikes J.T. Miller and Team USA as star forward has appeared to suffer an injury that just may sidelined him for the remainder of the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament.
During Saturday nights game between Team Canada and Team USA, star forward Matthew Tkachuk appeared to suffer an as he would go on to miss several shifts, and according to recent reports it's not looking to good.
Tkachuk would go on to miss a number of shifts as his normal linemates continued to rotate out onto the ice, but the real cause for concern would come a little later.
Tkachuk was seen talking to head coach John Tortorella after trying to skate during the television timeout, following that conversation Tkachuk remained at the end of the bench and never returned to the ice.
Following the game, Matthew Tkachuk has revealed there is «no concern» regarding any serious injuries despite being out for the majority of the third period.
According to team USA's head coach Mike Sullivan, Tkachuk may have been attempting to hide the injury as he confirmed that Tkachuk is indeed injured and remains questionable for the remainder of the Face-Off.
Mike Sullivan says it's a lower-body injury for Matthew Tkachuk. He used the term «out» and said he is being evaluated. He said he doesn't have enough info yet to make a determination on his status for Monday. The U.S. has already made it into the final on Thursday.
