Metropolitan Division organization on the verge of losing longtime superstar.

Pittsburgh Penguins longtime center and star Evgeni Malkin plans on leaving the NHL and returning to Russia.

According to Sports commentator Mark Madden, Malkin doesn't plan on being in the NHL much longer as he wants to finish his career in Russia.

The Pittsburgh Penguins can't seem to catch a break as news broke out about defenseman Kris Letang exploring opportunities to play in Quebec, and Sidney Crosby still remains un-signed by the Penguins, and now this.

Apparently his departure could happen after this season if contract negotiations fail.

«I've been told (Malkin) won't be back after this year that he'll go to Russia and forgo the last year of his deal,» Madden said. «How does that impact Sid? Does Sid know? I bet he does. And I heard there were discussions about trying to get Letang to Montreal at Letang's request, but nothing came of that. So I don't know where this is headed.»
