Montreal Canadiens enforcer Arber Xhekaj calls out New York Rangers captain Jacob Trouba for his monster hit on Justin Barron.

As the New York Rangers faced off against the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night during the NHL Frozen Frenzy, Trouba laid a massive hit on on Canadiens blue liner Justin Barron resulting in him suffering an upper-body injury.

The hit was deemed as a clean hit, and Trouba did not receive any Further disciplinary actions.

According to recent reports Barron ended up missing the Canadiens practice on Wednesday, but tough guy Arber Xhekaj was there and made sure to send a stern message to Jacob Trouba.

The message was directed for the next time the New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens faceoff against each other, which would be at Madison Square Garden on November 30th. However this is was Xhekaj said to Jacob Trouba:

«Seeing a hit like that, I didn't like it, and I know I probably would have done something if I was in the lineup or dealt with it, for sure, but we'll definitely remember it, and we'll see what happens in the next game.»

Xhekaj is definitely a guy who isn't afraid to stick up for his teammates, as he has quite the resume with going up against a few tough guys like Ryan Reaves, Tanner Jeannot and Zack MacEwen in the past.

However, Xhekaj better be careful throwing around these fighting words considering Matt Rempe isn't afraid to stick up for his teammates and especially his captain.

Only time will tell if anything will come out of this threat as it's a good chance Arber Xhekaj and Matt Rempe might not even be in the lineup for their respective teams.
