Chris Kreider has found his game, as he was placed back in his old power-play spot. This was after he was placed on the 2nd power-play unit before missing four games due to a back injury.

We were unsure whether this was a temporary or permanent removal from the top power-play unit, and we found out when Alexis Lafreniere was yanked.

Kreider still hasn't lost the trust of Peter Laviolette even with his lack of consistency.

Now that he's healthy it looks like his role with the Rangers could certainly increase.

Against the Utah Hockey Club on Thursday night, Laviolette yanked Alexis Lafrenière from the main power play unit in favor of Kreider. When it matters most, Laviolette still trusts Kreider to play those pivotal minutes

«The power play moves around,» Laviolette said. «We have trust in whoever goes out there. He's one of the best in the business We switched it up and tried something different.»

Last night against the Utah Hockey Club he scored his 16th point of the season and was a fixture on the third line, with Filip Chytil, and Arthur Kaliyev.

One of the team's most productive lines last night.

Kreider's Clutch Performance

Kreider's go-ahead goal at the end of the game solidified the comeback against the Utah club.

Chris Kreider got the go-ahead goal with 9:38 left and the New York Rangers rallied for a 5-3 victory over the Utah Hockey Club on Thursday night.

While Kreider will have to work on racking up assists, by creating more plays on the ice his lethal shot seems to have returned.

And the Rangers could benefit once again from his net-front presence that Alexis Lafreniere wasn't capable of delivering on.

The Rangers, will take on the Columbus Blue Jackets tomorrow, and work to silence the Cannon.

That is especially true if they hope to make it into the NHL playoffs this season.

The Rangers are still 5 points behind the Blue Jackets in the standings and will need to continue to fight to secure the Wild Card spot that could be within their grasp.
