Igor Shesterkin was faced with sequence of shots that ultimately led to an outstanding save that many might consider to be the save of year.
In what seems to be a pretty even game with the score at 2-1 for the Rangers as the second period comes to end.
However, Shesterkin executed a phenomenal save against Red Wings star forward Alex DeBrincat, keeping the Rangers on equal footing.
Here's a look at the play:
Both goaltenders on the ice, Igor Shesterkin and Alex Lyon have are going toe-to-toe with making exceptional saves keeping their teams afloat.
If the first save doesn't win him the save of the year, then maybe this second one might, as the second period comes to an end with just two minutes of play Shesterkin flashes the glove once again against JT Compher and bails out his team, after a brutal giveaway by Chytil.
There's still 20 minutes left of this game so anything can happen, but let's hope the Rangers can continue to push forward and hold onto this 2-1 lead.
