New York Rangers announce major changes to their coaching staff
New York Rangers change things up with their coaching staff.
Recents report from Mollie Walker of The New York Post confirm, the Rangers have hired Jeff Malcolm as their new goaltender coach to replace Benoit Allaire.
Allaire will remain with the Rangers organization, but will be limiting his day-to-day responsibilities after spending 20 years in New York.
The last three seasons, Malcolm has been with the Rangers AHL affiliate team, the Hartford Wolf Pack, so he comes with some experience.
He will now be faced with the task of coaching both elite goalies, Igor Shesterkin and Jonathan Quick.
Brendan Burke, who is the son of longtime NHL goaltender Sean Burke, will be taking over as the Hartford Wolf Packs goalie coach.
