The New York Rangers defenseman Will Borgen spoke to the media about the team's game in Ottawa. The Rangers are only a point shy of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
The game will have a playoff atmosphere, as the Ottawa Senators and the Rangers will be competing for the Wild Card spot in the East.
Rangers defenseman Will Borgen understands the atmosphere surrounding the game in Ottawa.
He feels that the importance of today's game will be unmatched, considering the Senators and Blueshirts both have 67 points each.
A two-point win in regulation will be paramount for either team.
While Borgen has played in postseason games with the Seattle Kraken, the expectations on Broadway are much, much higher.
Belligerent Bill will have to come out and figure out how to shut down the opposition, including
Dylan Cozens, who is a new arrival in Ottawa after yesterday's trade deadline.
The atmosphere surrounding playoff games in Madison Square Garden is electric, and this time Borgen will be able to feel what an original-six arena feels like if he can help keep the Senators at bay.
The Rangers themselves are 5th in the Metropolitan Division and need to hold onto every point they get in the next stretch of games.
New York Rangers lose in Overtime to the Ottawa Senators
Unfortunately the New York Rangers fell short in overtime as the Senators took a 3-2 victory which has now knocked the Rangers out of the Wild card spot.
Who ever wins tomorrow will momentarily take the first wild card spot, until the Senators face off against the Red Wings on Monday.
