UPDATE: #NYR has assigned defenseman Chad Ruhwedel to the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack.

Throughout the New York Rangers first 24 games, Chad Ruhwedel has only managed to appear in one of those game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Where he went pointless while playing 14:04 minutes. However during his time with the Wolf Pack, he has recorded two assists in seven games.

However, a move like this has raised a few questions amongst fans and many alike, one being what's to come following this transaction?

The Rangers don't play until Friday December 6th, so assigning a player to the AHL three days before doesn't make much sense.

Unless the New York Rangers are planning on shaking up the roster even more or they are just banking cap space until then, but only time will tell.
