New York Rangers general manager Chris Drury is keen on changing the makeup of his team and it appears the team is highly interested in acquiring Buffalo Sabres left winger Jordan Greenway.

Greenway who stands at six foot 6 and 230 lbs would give the Rangers larger size and more physicality as the team seems to be determined to make their club more playoff durable.
Greenway known for his strong body checks
Greenway is big and strong and mean. He battles in the corners, gets in opponents' faces and fights in front of the net. Acquiring him would be another step in the progression for a Blueshirts team working to become tougher and more physical. - Tom Castro Blueshirts Foreve
The 27-year-old winger has played 20 games for the Sabres, scoring three goals with forces for seven points with 13 penalty minutes him has played 15 minutes and 55 seconds of average ice time.

The Sabres who continue to struggle and have not made the playoffs for many years would likely be willing to take on a little of his salary as he holds a $3,000,000 salary cap hit which could lead them to acquire a draft pick or even as prospect for his services.
Rangers have abundant cap space for deadline moves
Chris Drury along with his management team have made significant changes to the Rangers already with several trades including the return of JT Miller and trading their captain
Jacob Trouba to the Anaheim Ducks.
Peter Laviolette was asked how much of the Rangers' decision on Jacob Trouba was his and how much of it was Chris Drury's: "Chris and I are together in our thoughts»
These moves have given the Rangers $16.4 million in cap space at the deadline which would arm Drury with the potential of acquiring several new players to help bolster the team to make a run for a playoff spot or retool the team for next season and be stronger than they are currently.
Adding a player like Greenway would certainly be a rental but with the amount of cap space the team currently has, it may be wise to take a chance and give them more strength as the Rangers currently sit with 58 points and sit three points out of a playoff spot.
