The New York Rangers should've won the game against the Colorado Avalanche in Madison Square Garden. They'd fight a whole sixty minutes, only to fall short with 14 seconds left. Peter Laviolette addressed the media today to recap.

The New York Rangers were unable to overcome the Colorado Avalanche yesterday falling 5-4 in a very hard fought battle.
The Rangers were victim to two bad-calls and were unable to put in the work to overcome obstacles, like Adam Fox's bad penalty against Parker Kelly.
Today Peter Laviolette addressed the media regarding the Rangers game plan.
He said, it was a tough game but in order to move forward, they need to move on.

The Rangers Lack of Discipline

Which, is true but it seems like he should consider figuring out where the team went wrong the last five minutes of the game.
Staying disciplined and tight on the penalty kill could've prevented Makar's goal in the 1st period, after the bad officiating.
While they failed to take advantage of the tie that players like Artemi Panarin gave them.
They were unable to stop a rush from the Avalanche and Arturri Lehkonen which gave the team a chance in overtime to win the game.
Laviolette's excuses at this point are glaring, as they have had ample time to find a way to recover what they've lost at the beginning of the season.
With this loss, the team remains 5th in the Metropolitan Division, with a record of 24-21-4.
They are still behind the Columbus Blue Jackets by three points and will be fighting for a wild-card spot in the playoffs still.
You can move on from a loss, but can you learn from it? That's the bigger question.
