The New York Rangers are in selling mode, as Ryan Lindgren has found himself on a contending team, the Colorado Avalanche. Now in his new home, he addressed how he felt about the trade and his new shot with the Avalanche.

The New York Rangers are a team who have depended upon Ryan Lindgren's contributions to the team's blue line.
He's been a top-four defenseman for the majority of his time in New York and has been a consistent partner with Adam Fox.
Now that GM Chris Drury is reshaping the lineup, Lindgren has found himself in new digs, in Colorado. A strange feeling for a player who has worn a blue shirt the majority of his NHL career.
Lindgren was asked about his new team, and how the trade went down by The Athletic's Peter Baugh.
He's excited to start a new chapter in Colorado, he told Baugh and a huge positive of the move is that he's friends with center Casey Mittelstadt who has found a home with the Avalanche too.
It should make for an easy transition to the ice and new life in Colorado for the shutdown defenseman.
He felt that the Rangers team was up and down a lot of the year, which echoed what all of us saw as a lack of consistency from the team.
«It definitely was up and down. There was a lot of stuff going on. It's nice to just come here and move on. It's a new chapter here.»

However, now instead of hassling over a new contract with GM Chris Drury, he'll be able to compete in the playoffs with the Avs.
He's already had his first practice with the Avs and took line rushes on the bottom-pairing for the team today.
We wish Lindgren the best of luck.
Will he earn an extension in Colorado? It'd be nice to see as he gets a fresh start.
For now, he remains a $4.5 million dollar rental.
