The New York Rangers have just confirmed who replace Chris Kreider in the lineup, as the Rangers have officially placed the 33-year old forward on IR (Injured Reserve).

New York Rangers veteran forward Chris Kreider has suffered an upper-body injury, which has resulted in him to consecutively miss the Rangers last three games.
However, the New York Rangers organization just recently announced that Chris Kreider was placed on Injured Reserve with an upper-body injury.
#NYR Chris Kreider (upper body) is going on IR, but he can be activated at any time.

There was no setback, he's just taking longer to heal than expected. Word is it isn't the back injury from earlier this season.
Good news is that this isn't related to his injury that he sustained earlier this season, and is not seen as a setback.
Chris Kreider (upper body injury) is going on IR, back dated to Sunday, so he can be activated any day. Per a league source, the injury is not the back problem Kreider was dealing with earlier in the season. It's not because of a setback, just an injury that's lingering.

Chris Kreider's replacement was just confirmed following recent recall from the Wolf Pack

While the organization confirmed that Chris Kreider was being placed on IR, they recalled forward Brett Berard for the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
UPDATE: Brett Berard has been recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack.
The 22-year old has played in 19 games this season with the New York Rangers and has managed to tally 3 goals and 4 assists during that time.
He was then sent to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL, as the Rangers believed he needed more time to develop. Which he has considering he's put up 23 points (9 G, 14 A) in 30 games played.
