The New York Rangers will take on their Metropolitan Division rivals, the Columbus Blue Jackets today. The game will have a playoff atmosphere, as the team is still in the hunt for a wildcard spot in the playoffs.

The New York Rangers will need to accumulate every point they can if they hope to make the 2025 playoffs.
Instead of riding into the post-season gloriously like they accomplished last season, it'll take an extra amount of effort this year.
As it stands now, they're just below the threshold for a wild card spot in the playoffs, with 68 points.
Just below the Columbus Blue Jackets have won four of their last six games, and will look to secure another win tonight in Madison Square Garden.
It's important that the Rangers hold off the Columbus Blue Jackets today.

Projected New York Rangers Lineup:

Healthy scratches today are Arthur Kaliyev, Brett Berard, and veteran defenseman Calvin DeHaan who will be the 7th defenseman.
Carson Soucy will get to see his 2nd game as a blue shirt, and after his first outing which saw him score a goal on March 8th against the Senators, we hope to see more out of him.
Both Adam Edstrom and Adam Fox remain out of the lineup due to injuries.
The Rangers are 31-26-6 and 5th in the Metropolitan Division.
