Toronto Couldn't Save The Devils This Time! Rangers Win!
The Rangers managed to earn a great win against their hated rivals, and this fourth line player stepped up big time!
Jimmy Vesey managed to score the game winning goal to give the Rangers a 4-3 lead over the New Jersey Devils!
A beautiful behind the back shot to seal it! Take a look:
But what if I told you, that was his second goal of the game? Vesey scored his first goal, all the way in the first period to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead over the Devils:
The Rangers ended up winning 5-3 after a Blake Wheeler empty net goal. Here is Vesey after the game with reporters:
"Not every game's gonna be perfect... I think I've been impressed all year with how we've stuck with games and kept ourselves in it."
It wasn't a perfect game, but it definitely was a perfect win!
Vesey finished with two goals, a block and two hits. He gets his ninth career multi-goal game against the Devils, whom he has played previously.
As for the officiating of the game, we need to address the questionable calls and reviews with the refs and Toronto.
We will discuss that tomorrow, meanwhile, enjoy the win, Rangers nation!
