Brady Tkachuk Is Going To Be Suspended For Instigating a Fight
The Ottawa Senators winger, Brady Tkachuk, is going to be suspended by the league for receiving an instigator penalty in the last five minutes of last night's 6-4 loss to the Buffalo Sabres.
Head Coach DJ Smith would receive a $10,000 fine as well.
Brady Tkachuk violated rule 46.21 of the NHL rulebook, which states:
"Per Rule 46.21 of the NHL rulebook, a player who receives an instigator penalty in the final five minutes of the game or overtime receives a one-game suspension."
The Senators will be appealing this ruling.
We will update when more information becomes available.
