The Maple Leafs Are Looking To Repeat History Against Bruins
The Toronto Maple Leafs are almost completely outmatched in this playoff series against the Boston Bruins. Not many are giving them much of a chance to extend this series any longer.
However, it might not be all gloom for the Maple Leafs. They have been in this position against the Bruins in recent memory. The Maple Leafs have battled back against the Bruins in this position to force a Game 7 twice before, in the 2013 Conference Quarterfinals and the 2018 First Round matchups. Plus the Bruins last year, blew a 3-1 lead in the first round against the Florida Panthers.
Unfortunately for the Leafs, both series have resulted in losses in the seventh game. Nor does it help they most likely be without Auston Matthews tonight in Game 5.
Let's hope they can make it as entertaining and competitive as possible before the curtain closes.
