New York Rangers defenseman Connor Mackey drops the gloves with Boston Bruins forward.

Bruins forward Mark Kastelic came zipping down the ice and laid a massive hit on Connor Mackey, who had the puck in the corner of the Rangers zone.

Understandably, Connor Mackey was not a fan of being hit like this, and made Mark Kastelic answer the bell by challenging him to a fight.

The two exchanged a few blows before the officials ultimately came in and broke it up as Mackey fell on his knees. Unfortunately leaving Kastelic with the upper hand in this fight.

Mark Kastelic buries Connor Mackey in the corner. Mackey doesn't like the hit and they both drop the gloves.

Mackey's career had been an interesting one, as he signed a one-year, entry-level contract with the Calgary Flames back in March 20th of 2020, but only made is NHL depth on February 13th of 2021.

Moving forward to the 2022-23 season Mackey remained with the Flames but only managed to make 10 NHL appearances before being dealt in a trade with Brett Ritchie, to the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Nick Ritchie and Troy Stecher.

However, that didn't last long either as Mackey was signed as a free agent in the off-season to a one-year, two-way contract by the New York Rangers on July 1, 2023. Then he signed a two-year contract text with the Rangers on March 1st, 2024
