Devastating news strikes the Rangers just prior to their second preseason game
Some rough news strikes the New York Rangers as they hit the ice for their morning skate, in preparation for tonight's game against the New York Islanders.
As the New York Rangers hit the ice for their morning skate, Rangers reporter Mollie Walker pointed out that three players were missing.
Defenseman-Matthew Robertson, Forward-Ryder Korczak, and Goalie-Talyn Boyko were all not on the ice today, due to being sidelined from injuries. All three players are considered day-to-day and would go on to miss this morning skate.

All are considered day-to-day and won't skate today.
Matthew Robertson entered training camp facing looking to secure a spot on the New York Rangers opening-night roster, however things aren't look to good for the 23-year old defenseman considering he has been sidelined with a lower-body injury.
Robertson was off to a great start at the Rangers training camp, as it was his fourth-year attending, Robertson believed he was in a better position mentally.
Statement from Robertson after he focused on his mental skills this offseason:
«I worked on the mental side of the game this summer and tried to improve that,» Robertson explained at rookie camp. «That was probably the biggest thing holding me back. My mental psyche, keeping confident and consistent each day. It's something that I've worked on this summer, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it pans out this year.»
Just last season Robertson had managed to tally 4 goals and 17 assists for a total of 21 points In 68 games with the Rangers AHL affiliate team, The Hartford Wolfpack.
