Chad Ruhwedel was seen at practice Thursday wearing a green non-contact jersey, after he crashed into the boards, during Tuesday's game against the New Jersey Devils.
He'd skate to the bench with overbearing pain after the incident.
He would finish the game, without serious injury, he was however put in a non-contact jersey, limiting the scope of his practice.
While it's great news that Ruhwedel could skate today and practice, it has us wondering what could the news be that limited his practice capabilities. This is two days out from the initial incident.
Ruhwedel is the latest in the list of injured Rangers players during the preseason, as he joins Artemi Panarin and Ryan Lindgren.
Lindgren will remain out for a few weeks, with an upper-body injury and they are already out one defenseman.
Another one, like Ruhwedel, will eat into man-games lost early this season, and the Rangers need a strong start if they're to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals again.

Ruhwedel only suited up for 5 games for the Rangers in 2023-2024, and in 2022-2023 played 47 games, and scored 4 points( 1 G, 3 A).
He was signed this summer, as a depth option and signed a one-year deal with the Rangers, at a league minimum of $775K.
