On Saturday, the National Hockey League had announced that the following 14 players were placed on waivers. This was confirmed by NHL insider Elliotte Friedman on X as well:
One noticeable name that was placed on waivers was New York Rangers defenseman Connor Mackey.
The deadline for these 14 players to be claimed off of waivers is on Sunday by 2PM, so their is still a chance that these fellas will be able to find another team and still start the season in the NHL. However, if not, they will spend the majority of their time in the minors until their organizations call them up due to injuries, struggles, or for whatever reasons they may need them.
