In just under a week, teams throughout the National Hockey League will submit their final roster for opening night, and in order to clear up their roster they assign players to minors, the waiver wire.
According to a recent report from PuckPedia on X, a total of 17 players were placed on waivers with the purpose of returning to their respective teams in the America Hockey League(AHL).
In the list below are the 17 players that were placed on waivers, amongst them is 2010 first round pick Jarred Tinordi and 2019 first-round pick Tobias Bjornfot.
Without a doubt this upcoming week will be a busy one for the waiver wire, however these 17 players have until today(Friday) @ 2PM ET to be claimed or if they'll be assigned to the American Hockey League. The San Jose Sharks get the first crack at making a waiver claim as they finished last in the NHL in the 2023-24 season, and will get this privilege until November 1st.
