To say that the Columbus Blue Jackets are having one of their worst seasons in their short history in the NHL is an understatement of the year.
With the team only winning one playoff round once in the last 24 years along with several key NHL stars not working to the levels they had hoped for.
The team recently fired their longtime general manager Jarmo Kekalainen and John Davidson has stepped in as interim general manager while the search begins.
With all this bad news, there has been a silver lining which was announced today that the NHL has decided to grant the 2025 stadium series to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The game will take place in Ohio Stadium which is the home of Ohio State University.
The rivaling team will be from Michigan which will be the Detroit Red Wings.
This series will be a dandy as the Michigan Ohio rivalry will be in full view for the world to see and should give the Columbus Blue Jackets some help in their PR department and promotional levels.
It will also help their fanbase as they can build on this annoucement.
