Jeff Marek releases an official statement on why he parted ways with Sportsnet
Jeff Marek has officially broke his silence and released a statement regarding his departure from Sportsnet.
Hockey fans were stunned once the rumours broke out Thursday that Jeff Marek will no longer be a part of Sportsnet.
However, Friday Marek has used his social media account on X (Twitter) to make an official statement:
Firstly, thanks for the outpouring of kinds words on Twitter/X. It really means the world to me.
After 13 great years at Sportsnet, I'm moving on. It's been an incredible journey and I'm thankful to have worked alongside so many great people and played a role in bringing sports and hockey news to fans across Canada and the world. More to come soon.
- Jeff
Many fans have been concerned considering we haven't heard from Jeff since the 2024 NHL Draft back in June, and was suppose to be releasing a podcast after July 1 after free agency opened, but it was cancelled.
Definitely great news to hear from Jeff Marek and that everything is ok.
