NHL veteran and member of the Boston Bruins, Milan Lucic seems to have reached the end of his career in the NHL following his arrest.
Milan Lucic was faced with a difficult decision last off-season during free agency as he needed to figure out he was going to do with career, and ultimately he tried to return to the Boston Bruins.
However, things took an unexpected turn, as he was arrested for domestic violence on November 9th, 2023, and was placed on leave just a few months after.
BREAKING NEWS. #NHLBruins Milan Lucic arrested early Saturday morning following a domestic incident, Bruins place Lucic on indefinite leave.
Confirmed by various media outlets
After a while Lucic was still on leave, and the charges ended up being dismissed due to his now ex-wife, Brittany Lucic as she refused to cooperate with the investigation.
Brittany has since filed for a divorce, along with an order of protection against her ex-husband, Milan Lucic.
«I am requesting that [Milan] have no visitation with the children until such time as he completes an alcohol program, anger management program and a parenting program such that he can be trusted with the children.
Should the court disagree with my request, then in the alternative I request that the court allow only professionally monitored visitation with Soberlink testing to be performed within one hour before and one hour after visitation. I am also requesting that the Court Order all communications between the Parties to be through.»
According to a reporter on X, who is well known for breaking many stories has revealed that Lucic is unable to find a job in the National Hockey League and will most likely be retiring.
»It looks like Milan Lucic's NHL career is over. He was struggling to keep up last season, and his arrest left him unwelcome back in Boston.
There has been no interest in him this summer and he hasn't been connected to anyone via rumors. At 36, it's fair to say it's game over.»
