New York Rangers divisional rivals beloved broadcaster has released a devastating announcement.
John Walton, the Washington Capitals broadcaster has informed all of his fans of some very unfortunate news, stating he has colon cancer.
Walton, who is the well-known radio commentator for the Capitals and former announcers for their AHL affiliate team, the Hershey Bears, made this pubic announcement on Thursday to make others aware.
John Walton has been with the Washington Capitals for some time now, as he's been calling games since 2011, and spent nine years with the Hersey Bears.
Walton has also worked with NBC Sports, covering some Stanley Cup playoff games and the women's hockey at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
