Oilers forward Evander Kane receives terrible news after having surgery in New York City
Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane to be sidelined for the majority of the 2024-25 season after having surgery in New York City.
During the 2023-24 Stanley Cup playoffs, Kane was faced with multiple issues/injuries. This summer there has been tons of speculation that Kane might be placed in long-term injured reserve, but it was revealed that Kane would actually need surgery.
Ultimately Kane ended up having the surgery and all went well, but today, NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman reported just how long Kane will miss if the 2024-25 season.
Unfortunately for the Oilers, they won't be expected Kane to return to the lineup until about January or February.
Definitely a tough blow for the Oilers as the 2024-25 season is just about to start.
