Referee left with fractured skull after player viciously attacked him
Terrible news surfaced as a ball hockey was assaulted by a player and had his jaw and skull fractured.
This unfortunate incident happened in Quebec where a volunteer referee was assaulted by a player and had his skull and jaw fractured.
The North American Ball Hockey Players Association confirmed that this attack took place last Tuesday and the player was immediately ejected from the game.
An official statement was released by the NBHPA and it stated that a player attacked the ref with his stick, hitting him in the chest and then in the face, resulting in him fracturing the refs jaw and skull.
The league also revealed that the referee suffered damage to all of his teeth and will unfortunately have to undergo facial reconstructive surgery.
The police have confirmed that they have arrested the attacker who is a 31 year old man, and he also received a lifetime ban.
