Scary scenes emerge from Buffalo as the stretcher was brought out on the after New York Islanders defenseman laid motionless after taking a big hit.

Thankfully the stretcher wasn't needed and was only brought out for precautionary measures.

However, halfway through the Buffalo Sabres and New York Islanders games Mike Reilly received a massive hit by Sabre's forward Jordan Greenway, which led to him hitting his head of the ice and leaving him laying there motionless for a period of time.

Without a doubt a very scary situation, as both teams sent out their training staff onto the ice to assess the situation, making the situation seem worse as this only happens when a very serious or dangerous injury occurs. Along with the stretcher being brought out, making it seem like Reilly was going to need to be brought to the hospital.

Thankfully, things were not as serious as it seemed at first. After a moment of time, the medical staff agreed that Reilly was well enough to get back on his feet and clearly avoided the worst and was able to skate off to the locker room and ultimately didn't need the stretcher.

There is unfortunately no update that has been provided on his status as of right now, but once one is given we will make sure to share it, but it's likely that he will need to sit out for a bit due to concussion protocols.
