Over the past couple of years, most hockey leagues have been discouraging fighting to happen during games as they are trying to promote skill, speed and overall great play.
Sometimes this can't be helped as two players need to settle a score or defend one's teammate if a dirty play happened.
Last night, the Rangers AHL affiliate Hartford Wolf Pack faced off against the Bridgeport Islanders in a hotly contested game when Wolf pack defenceman Nikolas Brouillard decided he'd seen enough and dropped his gloves against the Islanders forward Cole Bardreau.
The fight was explosive and intense when both men were throwing their punches at one another.
This led to the Wolfpack home crowd to stand on their feet and watch the fight unfold.
Soon after the fight was broken up, Brouillard decided to give the home crowd a few gestures as he wanted them amped up and getting the building rocking and rolling.
The Wolfpack ended up winning the game 4-1 and will be facing off against the Providence Bruins on Saturday February 10th with game time at 7:00 PM eastern.
