It's becoming quite apparent that the NCAA has become a great landing spot for many future NHLers as they flock to the USA and play for their schools.

Frank Seravalli explains this trend with fellow host Colby Cohen while being on the Morning Cuppa Hockey podcast.
As the CHL has become roughly a 90-team network in Canada, many players have found a good home with many American schools that have many great talented players while getting their education paid for.
They have less pressure and more options to either stay with the school or make the jump into the NHL as an younger UFA in their early 20's.
Rangers prospects like Gabe Perreault, Drew Fortescue, Victor Mancini and Noah Laba are a few among many who have chosen the NCAA to grow their craft.
Of course, the CHL will continue to be the headliner for the development of players and many future stars will come from that organization, it's becoming clear the players and their parents are looking at alternatives and the NCAA continues to grow and develop as it's a dominant organization in the United States.
