Biznasty gives his take on a no shootout NHL
The way to win a game in the NHL has been debated for quite some time.
The league chose to try a 3 on 3 Overtime with a shootout to make the end more exciting and give the teams more wins.
However, many fans and former player hate the shootout and would love to see it removed from the game.
Ryan Whitney and Biznasty gave their take on a few ways to remove the shootout and change overtime to far less players on the ice to help win it in OT.
Having watched their video, I feel that some of their ideas could work but certainly the idea of winning should have more value.
A 10 minute 3 on 3 could win the game quicker as mistakes would be more common.
Also adding an extra point to a win would give teams more incentive to win them in regulation rather than extra time.
The ideas have been endless and many are good to experiment and improve the game, but hopefully they will make the wins all about a team effort than finishing it on an individual one.
