Last evening was a great moment for the Rangers organization as two of their top prospects won the NCAA Hockey East championship as Boston College defeated their rival school Boston University 6-2.

Both forward Gabe Perreault and defenseman Drew Fortescue were instrumental as their squad dominated throughout most of the game.

There was no surprise that BC won this game as this team is stacked and one of the best college teams seen in years.

Perreault, who was drafted in the first round in 2023 23rd overall, has had a great season with BC as he had played 32 games, scoring 18 goals with 39 assists for 57 points and was a + 23.

Fortescue, has been fixture for BC's defence core as eliteprospects.com elaborates that he is a quarterback like defenseman who has a great IQ of the game and is known for his quick short touch plays.

Having been drafted in the third round, 90th overall in 2023 he has played 36 games, scored four goals 3 assists for seven points and is a + 13.

Both players are expected to be parts of the Rangers future in the next several years and having a winning background with this championship will help make them better players sooner and will be able to make the transition to the NHL with winning on their mind.
