The Reported Attendances At PWHL New York Games Are Alarming
Not a great look for New York.
A reported attendance of 2,201 in the 5-2 loss against Montreal yesterday, after all the momentum the PWHL built up.
To be fair, their "home" games primarily are held in Total Mortgage Arena which is located in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
However they played in UBS Arena yesterday, and the attendance remains low.
Last Saturday's game between Minnesota and Montreal at Xcel Energy Center broke the record for the highest attendance at a professional women's hockey game with 13,316 fans.
Maybe a team called "New York" shouldn't have their home base in Connecticut.
Hopefully the attendance will improve as the season progresses and will soon resolve with a home within the state or city of New York.
