Rasmus Dahlin Signs Massive Contract With Buffalo Sabres.
Rasmus Dahlin is going to be sticking with the Buffalo Sabres for a little while longer.
The Swedish Native defensemen has just signed a massive, eight-year contract extension worth an average annual value of $11 million, beginning with the 2024-25 season.
Dahlin is tied with Drew Doughty as the second-highest-paid blueliner in the NHL, and only trail Erik Karlsson,of the Penguins, as the NHL's highest paid defenseman.
The former No. 1 pick of the 2018 NHL Draft had a career year in 2022-23, scoring 15 goals with 58 assists.
His 73 points were the third-highest mark by a defenseman in Sabres history, and finished tied for fifth in defenseman scoring.
He also lead the Sabres in blocked shots and finished second on the team in hits.
Rasmus Dahlin and the Buffalo Sabres will begin their regular season campaign against the New York Rangers, Thursday, October 12, at KeyBank Center, in Buffalo.
