Adam Fox nearing a return to the New York Rangers lineup? Major development has just surfaced

According to USA Today's Vince Mercogliano, reveals a very positive update on defenseman Adam Fox of the New York Rangers as he was seen skating on his own.

Unfortunately, we still don't know an exact timeline of when he will return to the New York Rangers lineup, but this is certainly a very positive sign.

Head Coach Peter Laviolette wasn't able to get more into the timeline discussion following the team's practice. But the news of him skating should be taken as a positive sign for Rangers fans everywhere.

However, he remains on injured reserve with an upper-body injury keeping him out of the lineup.

This season he's played 58 games for the New York Rangers and scored 48 points ( 5 G, 43 A).

Following the Rangers last two games this weekend against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday and the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday, it's clear that they need all the help they can get on the defensive end.

For now, the Rangers have quickly adjust to his absence in the lineup, to which they have relied upon players like Zac Jones, and Will Borgen to shoulder the workload while Fox is out, but that doesn't seem to be working out the greatest.

Hopefully this will mean Fox is nearing a return very soon, but of course it's safe to wait and let him return when he's feeling 100 percent so there's no risk of further damage.
