Rangers Assign Players Back To The Wolf Pack
The New York Rangers have assigned recalled players, forward Jonny Brodzinski, goaltender Louis Domingue, and defenseman Connor Mackey back to the Hartford Wolf Pack.
With Domingue being sent back, this is a great sign for Igor Shesterkin, as his injury was not severe and will soon be ready to play.
Reporter Vince Z. Mercogliano does bring up a good point, it's surprising the Rangers are not choosing to hold on to Mackey and Brodzinski.
Since they still have the $9.5 million in cap relief from Adam Fox, they would have been able to hold on to the two players.
With these moves, this likely means Zac Jones will remain as the sixth defenseman. Barclay Goodrow will return quickly after a paternity leave and will move as the third center.
