Could This Be The Game We See Zibanejad Light It Up?
I don't think the Rangers would love nothing more, than to see Mika Zibanejad light the Pittsburgh Penguins on fire.
Not literally of course, but on the score sheet. He has played decently to start the season.
With two goals, eight assists and 10 points total with a +5 rating, he has been playing well.
But not something that is expected from a full fledged top line center. He also hasn't been as aggressive on the ice.
Through 16 games this season, he has 44 shots on goal, while last season, he was leading the team with 86 shots on goal in the first 20 games.
The slow start is apparent with a player of Mika Zibanejad caliber. He is too good to not be consistently lighting up the score sheet on a nightly basis.
We need him to be on his A game early on in the season. Because the longer we wait, the more difficult it'll be to envision him staying on the top line.
