Ex-Rangers captain officially returns to the NHL with former team
Former New York Rangers captain Jaromir Jagr is set to return to former team and join them in their front office.
Jaromir Jarg is considered to be one of the greatest players in NHL history. Jagr is mainly known for his time with the Pittsburgh Penguins but he was eventually traded to the Washington Capitals in 2001 and then shortly later he ended up with the Rangers in 2004.
However, Jarg is now embarking on a new career path by joining his former team, the Pittsburgh Penguins as their president of business operations.
The Pittsburgh Penguins are reportedly working on hiring legendary winger Jaromr Jágr to their front office, shares Rob Rossi of The Athletic in an interview with Penguins' President of Business Operations, Kevin Acklin. Acklin shared that the team is ready to enter a «new chapter» after Jágr's retirement ceremony in February. The team has been working on recruiting Jágr ever since, recently making an extra push while visiting Prague for the World Championship.
Definitely some exciting news for Penguins fans, as they will see a NHL icon join their organization not to long after retiring Jagr's #68.
