He Is Truly Coming To Form And Silencing The Critics!
Igor Shesterkin has been under fire from the media, and some fans from within, who believe he should be benched permanently in favor of Jonathan Quick.
His performance has slid and was deserving of some criticism, but some took it too far. He heard the call, and now two straight games, he delivers!
Last night in the 5-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs, Shesterkin was sensational. Stopping 31 of 33 shots for a save percentage of .939 percent and earning his 12th win of the season!
Shesterkin now in his last two starts, is 2-0-0, with a .947 save percentage and allowing 1.46 goals each game.
Plus they were against the two best teams in the Atlantic Division with the Boston Bruins and the Maple Leafs.
These two games might not be enough to get everyone fully bought in, but it's a strong trend in the right direction for Shesterkin.
He is gaining momentum, his confidence is storming back, and we will need him at his best, for the playoffs.
