Rangers star forward Mika Zibanejad stood in front of the media scrum after the Rangers pulled off a 2-1 win in overtime over the high-flying Colorado Avalanche.
It was clear that he felt the goaltending was the only reason why the game was in their hands as the Avalanche were mounting constant pressure on the Rangers all night.
Last night's game rested on the shoulders of veteran goaltender Jonathan quick as he was tapped to take on a former Western Conference rival.
During the game he was faced with high danger chances, and he only allowed one goal on 33 shots for a .970 save percentage.
These are the kind of wins that the Rangers need to gut out from time to time as they look to continue to improve and get back to the winning formula.
The Rangers will remain at home while they host the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The game will be played on Wednesday February 7th and game time will be 7:00 PM eastern.
