New York Rangers top prospect just may be facing a major demotion with in the organization as he remains inactive since being recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack.

New York Rangers top prospect. Brennan Othmann has not recorded any points in his last seven games with the New York Rangers this season.
As he averages about 10:30 minutes of ice time a night, and has still not scored a goal or provided an assist this season. Othmann remains inactive as of March 10, 2025.
Brennan Othmann has played seven games this season but has not scored any goals or assists, along with that he had only managed to record five shots on goal. Definitely not the greatest look for youngster, as this inactivity will impact the team's offensive strategy.
Definitely very unexpected, considering Othmann was heating up while with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hocksy League.
#NYR prospect Brennan Othmann (R1, 2021) takes it up the ice by himself and calls GAME!

9 points in his last 11 games.
If Othmann continues to have no contributions on the score sheet, the Rangers may look to other players for scoring opportunities.
Unfortunately only time will tell what head coach Peter Laviolette will do as the New York Rangers play their next game in Tuesday against the Winnipeg Jets at 8:00PM.
However, their two latest games over the weekend clearly indicate that a change is desperately needed, whether it be a move with the veterans or with the prospects.
Do you think Brennan Othmann will be a healthy scratch for the Rangers next game? Let us know in the poll down below and stay tuned to NY Rangers Insider for the latest news and update on the New York Rangers.
