Peter Laviolette Gives Explanation For Decision For Starting Goaltender
The Rangers will soon be facing off against the Colorado Avalanche, and head coach Peter Laviolette gives his reasons for having Jonathan Quick starting at net tonight instead of Igor Shesterkin.
Jonathan Quick has played sensationally this season, boasting a 10-4-2 record, with a 2.43 goals against average and .915 save percentage, on top with two shutouts.
This shouldn't come as a big surprise.
Igor Shesterkin is coming off a weekend of traveling and participating in all-star stuff on both Friday and Saturday.
Jonathan Quick is better rested at this point.
