Laviolette Gives Promising Update On Injured Player!
Head coach Peter Laviolette has given the media an update on the injury status of Ryan Lindgren, and it sounds promising!
Laviolette called it a "maintenance" day for Lindgren and made it sound like there's a chance he could skate Wednesday.
This is good news, as he currently listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
Here is the hit he received from Sean Kuraly:
Originally ruled a 5-minute major, our favorite fans in Toronto downgraded it to a 2-minute minor.
Igor Shesterkin also looked sharp in the optional practice held today.
No restrictions on workload during practice, so all signs point to a long awaited return against the New Jersey Devils Saturday.
Unfortunately there is no update on Filip Chytil, who has been eligible to return to the team for three days now, after his seven-day mandatory absence from being placed on injured reserve.
We will update as more information becomes available.
