Laviolette Giving Praise To Captain. We Should Do The Same
The New York Rangers have a host of incredible talent and contributors that have the Rangers in first place in the Metropolitan Division. Someone who gets the work done doesn't show it on traditional stats, but by leadership and toughness. We are talking about the captain, Jacob Trouba.
The 29th captain in Rangers history has been everything you could ask a leader to be. Poised, confident, and willing to put use his body to win games, leading the league in blocked shots. But don't take our word for it, take it from head coach Peter Laviolette:
"He's been unbelievable. I mean he's played such a really good game for us. A steady game. He and Key have been outstanding. They put up tough minutes on a nightly basis. I think that as a pair they've done a really good job. Jacob's done a really good job as a leader."
Trouba may not get the flashy stats that we are all accustomed to, but he is just as valuable to the team as any of them, and we cannot take it for granted.
