Major development has surfaced regarding the New York Rangers reportedly looking to complete a blockbuster trade for a former 9th overall pick according to a recent report.

The past couple of seasons, the Anaheim Ducks have reportedly looked to trade Trevor Zegras. During this time, injuries have played a big factor in why the Ducks haven't been able to trade him.
Even when he has been healthy, he hasn't been the same player he was during his first two years in the NHL where he put up over 60 points in his first full two seasons. According to a recent report, a lot of teams have been interested in him, and one being the New York Rangers.
The Rangers have already made a blockbuster trade, acquiring J.T. Miller at the end of last month. They have also traded captain Jacob Trouba, and Kaapo Kakko this season, and reports have suggested they are not done yet.
Anaheim revealed that they are currently listening to offers on Trevo Zegras, but it's unclear if a trade can get done at the NHL trade deadline this year.
Zegras, according to PuckPedia, is making $5.75 million for the next two years, and as the cap is set to rise, this contract could age well, especially for someone with Zegras' calibre.
The Ducks are looking to upgrade their defense, while the Rangers are in need of young talented forwards to replace their aging core players, which makes the Ducks and Rangers the perfect trade partners.
According to clutch points, the Rangers would offer K'Andre Miller in return for Trevor Zegras, a 1-for-1 trade with no salary retention.
This will be an interesting situation to keep an eye on as the NHL trade deadline approaches, especially over the 4 Nations Face-Off.
