Last Thursday night the New York Rangers faced off against the San Jose Sharks for the first time this season, unfortunately during the game Rangers forward Filip Chytil sustained an injury after colliding with teammate K'Andre Miller.
Following the game reports surfaced from various reporters, one being from Vince Z. Mercogliano who stated that Chytil is not being ruled out for the Rangers road trip and could very well join the team on the road.
However, Sunday night Filip Chytil did not join the New York Rangers for their first game of the road trip as they faced off against the Seattle Kraken.
Ultimately this has left a lot of questions from fans and many alike, as everyone wants to know if the 25-year old forward would join the team before their next game against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night.
According to new reports that have surfaced on Tuesday, we now know the severity of Chytil's injury and if he sustained a concussion or not.
Several reports have indicated that Filip Chytil has NOT sustained a concussion but he did in fact suffer an upper-body injury.
Along with that, Chytil is still considering day-to-day and won't join the Rangers for their game against the Canucks tonight, but he is planning to join the team in Calgary Thursday night.
Chytil has a long history of concussions, which was the main concern when he suffered this injury. So without a doubt this great news for the New York Rangers!
