New York Rangers biggest divisional rivals superstar was involved in a very scary scene on Sunday Night in Las Vegas, as Jack Hughes of the New Jersey Devils was forced to exit the game after crashing into the boards.

The New Jersey Devils took an unfortunate 2-0 loss against the Golden Knights, but arguably suffered a loss much greater than that, as during the third period the Devils lost top forward Jack Hughes to a potential shoulder/arm injury.
Hughes skated slowly back toward the Devils bench holding his shoulder and bent down at the waist before being attended to by team medical staff on the bench and making his way down the tunnel toward the dressing room. Surprisingly, there was no penalty on the play.
Following the injury head coach Sheldon Keefe was tossed from the game after voicing his opinion to the officials for the lack of a penalty being called on Eichel.

Keefe also issued an update, and the comments signal that it is likely long-term.
As for Keefe himself, he could very well be facing further disciplinary action from the NHL for what he may have said to the officials that resulted in his ejection.
Hughes, who was the 1st overall pick by the Devils in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, has 70 points (27G, 43A) so far this year.
So if this injury is long-term it could really affect the Devils as Hughes is a very valuable player to their organization.
