The New York Rangers miss out another free agent after recent announcement confirms he signed elsewhere.

Earlier today the Colorado Avalanche made an announcement, that they signed defensemen Oliver Kylington to a 1-year deal.

The 27-year old defenseman played for the Calgary Flames last season, but only made 33 appearances with the team, putting up 3 goals and 8 assists.

We have signed Oliver Kylington to a one-year contract.

NHL insider, Elliotte Friedman revealed more details regarding the contract comes with a $1.05 million dollar cap hit. Definitely an inexpensive player that could have added value to the New York Rangers roster.

The Avalanche seem to be ready for the next season as the 20 players signed (12 forwards, 8 defenseman) and 2 goaltenders.
